Can I do length alteration?
At CHI-KA we offer custom length alteration for most of the designs. If you require Length Alteration please add your size in the Size box on the Product Page or leave us a note regarding the exact length / abaya length. Please consult the SIZE CHART on the product page. You can always contact us directly and we will be happy to assist you. We always get in touch and follow up.
Can I try it on before purchase?
If you are in Dubai, please visit our store in a creative district of Alserkal Avenue, 10am - 7pm dayily, or contact us on support@chikacollection.com or by WhatsApp +971 52 194 7377 to arrange for a MOBILE BOUTIQUE to visit you anywhere in the UAE.
What is the existing size and can it be adjusted?
You can select your size (UK Body size and Length) before ADD TO BAG. In customization box or note upon checkout you can add more details about your preferences.

Do you provide home service?
Yes, in the UAE.We have our CHI-KA MOBILE BOUTIQUE. Please contact us (+971 52 194 7377 / support@chikacollection.com) to book our visit.
What's a kimono?
A kimono is a Japanese traditional garment. The word "kimono" literally means a "thing to wear" (ki "wear" and mono "thing").
What is special about a real kimono-abaya?
Original kimono-abaya are fully hand-crafted. They are hand-sewn, hand-painted and hand-embroidered. They truly are works of art. The techniques used are centuries old. They are made by older, experienced Japanese craftsmen and artists, and can take from 1-6 months to produce, each, depending on the amount of work. This process of kimono-making is rare and highly-valued - due to the quality of the craftsmanship, the attention to detail and the quest for perfection in each and every piece.
Where is it made?
We make everything in our Atelier in Al Quoz except the original Japanese kimono fabrics that come from Japan.
Do you have a shop?
Yes. We are located in the creative district in Dubai called Alserkal Avenue, just behind Times Square on Sheikh Zayed Rd. Please visit us and experience the Avenue filled with amazing creative concepts: arthouse cinema, theater, vinyl record shop, design shops, art galleries, few cool restaurants and coffee shops are just some of our neighbors.
Does my abaya come with a head scarf/sheila?
Yes. All abayas come with head scarfs/sheilas. Kaftans do not include head scarfs/sheilas. You may always add to cart an extra head scarf/sheila if you wish.
How can I pay?
Securely Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Mada when ordering through the website. We can always send you a direct payment link. You may also pay by Bank Transfer. VISA, MasterCard, AMEX, ApplePay, GooglePay and other payment methods at our shop in Alserkal Avenue or at your doorstep in Dubai (subject to availability). What guarantee do I have when I order?
When using online payment there is full customer protection. Our Payment gateway is owned by Amazon and has the highest security and service standards. If there are any complaints at all, rest assured that your payment is secure and refundable. When paying via Bank Transfer, we can guarantee security. If something appears as 'OUT OF STOCK' on the website, is it possible to re-order it?
Most probably it is not possible, as most pieces are done is small editions, or are exclusive and unique - there is only one, and it can never be repeated. This is due to the fact that some of them are 100% hand-made (hand-stitched, hand-painted and/or hand-embroidered).
Can I put an item on Hold?
We can keep it for your 24h, until payment is made. Collections are limited. Please contact us directly to place an item on Hold.
How long will it take to receive my order?
This will depend on whether you require alteration or not, and where you are in the world. Alteration or a custom order takes up to 7-10 days to make. Usually it's quicker. Shipping may take from 1-5 days depending on which part of the globe you are. Dhl is usually super fast. If you are in the UAE it's next day delivery. If you are in the GCC it's 3-5 business days and sometimes quicker.
What shipping method do you use?
Courier Service (door to door) UPS, DHL and Quiqup for same day deliveries in Dubai. Name, Address, Tel required for all of the above.
Do you deliver to my home country?
Yes, we deliver worldwide. If ordering through the E-shop, you will be able to add 'Shipping' upon Checkout. We use DHL for all international and UPS for all domestic shipments. If your country doesn't come up, please contact us for a specific quote or we will send you quote.
Do you do combined shipping?
Yes we do.
Can I send it as a gift to someone?
Yes. You can make a purchase and just notify us that its a Gift. It will be gift-wrapped and a Gift Card from you will be included. Also, please provide us with shipping address of the receiver.
How can I take care of my dress?
It is a delicate garment, so professional dry-clean is recommended. If there is artwork (hand-painting) please point this out to the dry-cleaner, so they are aware to use spot cleaning. For keeping of a kimono it is best folded neatly and placed on a shelf, rather than hung on a hanger. We recommend Washmen & Queen's Press Laundry in Dubai.
Free returns within 30 days, no questions asked. We believe in our products and we stand behind them. We will return any of our items within 30 days just mail them back with your purchase receipt.
We accept all major credit cards. All of our transactions are handled on a secure server using bank-grade encryption. Payments can be handled through trusted third parties like Shopify Pay, Apple Pay, and PayPal.
